NZF Senior Level 1 Coaching Award

This first step for coaches of adult players provides information on how to organise enjoyable coaching sessions working on specific areas of technical development. Looking at areas such as “warm ups”, “what to do on game day” and “benefits of small sided games”, it is an informative starting point for coaches looking for guidance on the best way to coach adults.

  • Structure of a coaching session
  • Meeting adult footballers’ needs
  • Warm ups and cool downs
  • Coaching styles
  • Designing coaching sessions for tactical outcomes

NZF COACH EDUCATION PATHWAY

ADVANCED COURSE

OFC / NZF C Licence

This course provides coaches with the framework and methodology to become a professional, ‘expert’ coach.  The focus of the course is on identifying football problems and designing realistic game situations to address those problems.  It also concentrates on “how” to coach youth or senior players by creating appropriate game environments and guiding players with tasks to effectively engage them in a learning process. The Senior C Licence runs concurrently with the Youth C Licence, allowing coaches to gain both accreditations.

  • The Professional Coach Model
  • Plan, prepare, conduct and evaluate a game training session
  • Periodised planning - football conditioning for senior footballers
  • Age appropriate, holistic development of youth footballers

Duration: 6 days

Cost: $1370

OFC / NZF B Licence

The B Licence has been created to provide higher level learning for coaches wishing to offer their players the best training environment possible. Looking even deeper into areas covered in Senior Level 2, but also new subjects such as “Player and team management” and “Creating a performance culture”, this course will enable coaches to plan high level activities for a complete season.

Pre-requisite: NZF Senior Level 2 / Youth Level 3, or overseas equivalent, e.g. UEFA/AFC C License
