​​​​​​​The Girls and Women’s Advisory Group is a strategic voice supporting the growth and development of girls and womens football across the Northern Region. The group is comprised of players, coaches, administrators, and community advocates passionate about the growth of the girls and womens game. The group partners with NRF to champion increased participation, visibility, and leadership opportunities for girls and women at all levels of the game. Through informed guidance and collaboration, the Advisory Group helps shape initiatives that promote inclusion, equity, and sustainable pathways for female football in our region.

NRF are seeking passionate advocates of the girls and womens game to sit on the Girls and Womens Advisory Group and work alongside NRF to deliver positive outcomes in our game.

Expressions of Interest to join the Girls and Womens Advisory Group are currently open and will close on Sunday 31 August.

Successful nominees for the group should:

  • Be active in football in the Northern Region
  • Be passionate about providing positive opportunities for girls and women in sport
  • Be able to commit 2-3 hours every 2 months 
  • Have experiences related to growing girls and womens football at a community level
  • Have an understanding of the football system in New Zealand, and in the Northern Region
