Northern Region Football welcomes Nathalie Harrington and Jo Redfern-Hardisty to the Board

Northern Region Football's Board is complete, with two new members introduced at the 2023 Annual General Meeting.

Nathalie Harrington has been co-opted to the Board since the beginning of the year, while Jo Redfern-Hardisty has been appointed. "It's a pleasure to welcome Nathalie and Jo to our Board, and the skills they bring. As we look to broaden our knowledge and expertise, I know their backgrounds in legal and communications and marketing will compliment the team. We've valued their fresh perspectives so far, and look forward to working alongside them," said NRF Chair Andrea Nelson.

Nathalie's background is in top tier New Zealand commercial law firms - currently at MinterEllisonRuddWatts, she works in the corporate division, specialising in regulatory and international trade. Nathalie has governance experience on the Volunteer Wellington Board for many years and currently serves on the executive committee of the New Zealand China Council.

"We're about to go through a really exciting time for women's sport and for New Zealand. I've got a strong interest in diversity and inclusion in my personal and professional life, so it feels like all the stars have aligned. It’s a privilege to join a really diverse and dynamic Board and to be a part of realising these opportunities for long term change for women's participation in sport," said Nathalie.

A born and bred Aucklander with family in Whangarei, Jo Redfern-Hardisty is connected to football through her father, who was a successful coach at Takapuna, and her daughters, who all play to a high level at school, with Māori Football Aotearoa and on the North Shore. Jo's background is in corporate communications with Coca-Cola, Westpac and McDonald's, where she worked on the junior football sponsorship programme.

"This is an awesome opportunity to contribute to a region and code I feel very strongly about. I was really enthused about what I saw at our AGM, and particularly with a once in a lifetime opportunity coming up in the World Cup. The tournament is tribute to years of effort by so many people, so it's a privilege to be part of the team and help make it come to life for clubs across our region," said Jo.
