The Girls and Women’s Advisory Group is a strategic voice supporting the growth and development of girls and womens football across the Northern Region. The purpose of the initiative is to provide advice, recommendations, and assistance to Northern Region Football with regards to any number of football/futsal topics related to girls and women. The group is comprised of players, coaches, administrators, and community advocates passionate about the growth of the girls and womens game.  Through informed guidance and collaboration, the Advisory Group will work with NRF to promote inclusion, equity, and sustainable pathways for girls and women's football in our region.

The Advisory Group initiative is part of NRF's commitment to gender equity and girls and women's football. To read more about our Gender Equity Action Plan, click here.

NRF are proud to have launched two Girls and Womens Advisory Groups as of February 2026. In recognition of the unique landscapes in each of our main regions, Auckland and Northland, there is an advisory group representing each region. Each group meets on a quarterly basis to discuss topics relevant to their region and those that are relevant to the entirety of the NRF region.
