First vs second in the LOTTO NRFL Men’s Championship & Northern Conference

Two first vs second place battles took place over the weekend:

Ngaruawahia United 2   -  East Coast Bays 0

In the LOTTO NRFL Men’s Championship Ngaruawahia United took three points at home, althought East Coast Bays stays on top of the league by a point.

Auckland United v West Coast Rangers, LOTTO NRFL Women’s Premiership

Auckland United picked up three key points in the LOTTO NRFL Women’s Premiership against West Coast Rangers, through a late 86th-minute goal from Penny Brill.

Papakura City vs Te Atatu 6-6 scoreline in the NRF league one

It’s not every day you see twelve goals in a game, that’s one every seven and a half minutes! Papakura City should be happy with the full-time result coming from three goals down at one point and scoring in the 90th minute to keep their league dreams alive.

The main focus this week in the LOTTO NRFL Men’s Championship was on Ngaruawahia United vs East Coast Bays. Stjepan Kovacic made sure the three points stayed at home for Ngaruawahia United scoring two goals, one in the 25th and 75th minute.

But to the luck of the rest of the league, the second half had more goals to come. A penalty from Argyle Morling in the 90th minute saw the game end 6-6.
