If you caught a dose of football fever in 2023 (who didn't?!?) and want to dust off the boots and play this season, here's what you need to know.
- The first thing to do is find a football club near you - our Club Directory lists all clubs in Auckland and Northland
- Then, you'll need to register yourself or your child. Some clubs are taking registrations now, so check out their websites or social media for the details
- The community football season starts in early May, so there's plenty of time
- Some clubs offer summer football now, so again, check their websites or socials
- Our Community Noticeboard has teams looking for players, opportunites to coach teams and more. Check back regularly as there are plenty of ads being published at this time of year
- If you have a daughter who's keen to try football in a fun, girls-only environment, check out Fantails for ages 4-12 and Kickin' It! for ages 13-19
- Futsal is fast-paced five-a side indoor football. You can get involved through intermediate or secondary schools or in local futsal leagues, find out more
