NRF's Beth Rattray appointed to FIFA International Panel for the first time


NRF's Referee Education Officer - Community Beth Rattray has been appointed to the FIFA international Panel for the first time, and is among thirteen match officals chosen to represent Aotearoa New Zealand internationally in 2025.

The selection marks the greatest number of female FIFA Badge match officials representing New Zealand to date, with five including a number appointed for the first time to new roles. 

Sarah Jones makes the significant move from FIFA Assistant Referee to FIFA Referee. 

Alongside Jones, Cory Mills, Beth Rattray, Allys Clipsham and Heloise Simons all make their FIFA Panel debuts. 

All of the selected female match officials have been appointed to the upcoming OFC Men’s Champions League Qualifiers in the Cook Islands in February.

Six New Zealand referees have been named, including CK Kawana-Waugh who is currently undergoing preparation for the FIFA World Cup 2026. 

Five have been named as assistant referees, including two for the first time. 

Two Futsal Referee appointments have been made, with Ben Norman and Chris Sinclair returning to the panel. 

The Panel selection highlights the FIFA Referee Committee’s continued recognition of the high level of refereeing in New Zealand.
