Northern Region Football is excited to announce the return of the Community Futsal Coach & Referee Education Day in 2025, a key initiative to upskill volunteers and grow futsal in Tāmaki Makaurau and our region.

Set for Thursday, 24 July 2025, the event will be hosted at North Harbour Netball Centre, offering aspiring coaches and referees an opportunity to gain their Level 1 Futsal Coaching and Level 1 Futsal Refereeing qualifications. At the same time, meeting like-minded individuals in the futsal community.

The day will include a combination of classroom learning, interactive discussion, and light practical sessions on the court.

“This day is all about opening the door for more people to get involved,” says NRF Futsal Development Manager Aidan Wong. “Whether you're helping out at your local school, or club or just curious to learn more, this is a welcoming and valuable experience.”

This is also a great opportunity for schools to organise groups of students to attend & learn more about refereeing and coaching in sports!

Intermediate Schools Futsal Have-a-Go Day 2025  |  Thursday 21st August 2025 - Barfoot & Thompson Netball Centre, Northcote

Northern Region Football is also running an Have-a-Go Futsal Day on Thursday 21st August at Barfoot & Thompson Netball Centre.

This futsal festival will be ideal for those who want to try Futsal for the first time in a safe, fun and participation-focused environment.
