The Junior Football Festival is a fun, community-focused football event designed to give kids the opportunity to play multiple games in a positive, inclusive environment. The focus is on participation, enjoyment, and connection rather than competition element of football.

There will be Activations and Food Trucks onsite to keep all attendees engaged throughout the duration of the event.

Each team will play a minimum of four 17min matches (no half times) throughout the day. The format is designed to maximise playing time while utilising the breaks between rounds to enjoy the things fun and engaging activations and food trucks on offer.

Players should bring:

• Football boots and shin guards
• Team uniform​​​​​​​
• Water bottle
• Sunscreen and hat
• ​​​​​​​Warm clothing
  
• Any personal medical items (e.g. inhalers)
• Good vibes

There will be food vendors available on-site to purchase from. We also recommend bringing your own snacks and water for the day.

The festival is open to junior teams who are affiliated to NRF clubs within the specified age groups outlined in the registration form. All skill levels are welcome.

There are no restrictions on how many teams from the same club to enter the festival.

We recommend arriving at least 30–45 minutes before your first scheduled game to allow time for check-in, warm-up, and orientation.

Yes, games will be supported by referees or game leaders. Please note the emphasis of the event is on enjoyment and learning, so a relaxed and supportive approach will be taken.

In case of a shortage of referees available on the day, please have a volunteer ready as a contingency.

The festival will generally go ahead in light rain. In the case of severe weather, updates will be communicated via email and/or the event organisers.
